She has held other key assignments as the Director of Managed Staffing for Interim Staffing Services in Ft Lauderdale, Florida and she was strategic in the opening of several luxury Fairmont Hotels across the country as their Human Resource Director.

Credentials —
Amelya holds a bachelor's degree in Psychology from Monmouth University, New Jersey and a master's degree in Industrial Psychology from Fairleigh Dickinson University, New Jersey. She holds a professional credential of SPHR — Senior Professional in Human Resources and a California-certified (SPHR-CA) senior HR generalist.

Since 1985 Amelya has been an annual member of SHRM-Society Human Resource Management.  She is a current member of the following organizations:  SAHRA-Sacramento Area Human Resource Association and has been named the HRCI Chair 2007/08, NCHRA-Northern California Human Resource Association, and the Sacramento Chapter for ASTD-American Society of Training and Development and have been a prior adjunct facilitator for University of Phoenix, Sacramento undergraduate and graduate courses in Human Management and Organizational Development.

Involvement —
Amelya currently serves as the Community Representative Chair for the Boosters Board at Granite Bay High School Boosters Association.  Although, she is no longer a member on the Board of Directors for Sierra Adoption Services, Amelya shows her dedication to the organization through “Karts for Young Hearts”, an annual fund raising event which she founded.
